SEH Summer Lab
A series of workshops for Explorers (22 June – 31 August 2026) — each week a different specialist, on the topics that matter to their generation.
SEH Summer Lab is a series of workshops for Explorers — young people who want to better understand the world they live in and explore the subjects they truly care about. From 22 June to 31 August 2026, each week a specialist from a different field works directly with a group of 15–20 Explorers, in hands-on workshops at Scout Edu Hub (7 Vigilenței St., Sector 5, Bucharest).
Today's teenagers grow up in a fast-changing world. Artificial intelligence, social media, emotional health, civic participation and international opportunities shape their daily lives, yet rarely find a place in formal education. SEH Summer Lab is a space where young people can ask questions, debate, learn from professionals and form their own perspectives.
This summer's themes
- diversity and inclusion;
- European mobility and development opportunities;
- how democratic institutions and processes work;
- turning an idea into a local initiative with impact;
- financial education;
- digital education and safety;
- and other topics relevant to their generation.
The programme is run together with organisations and facilitators who work with young people year-round, including TechSoup, Funky Citizens, Tineri pentru Tineri, Eurodesk and other partners contributing expertise and hands-on experience.
One example workshop
23 June 2026, 10:00–13:00 — “Beyond labels: truly seeing others”. Why do we form opinions about others so quickly? What does it really mean to include someone, not just tolerate them? Participants explore identity, stereotypes, bias and the power of dialogue. Facilitated by Anca Burlacu, a trainer and facilitator in non-formal education, personal development and intercultural dialogue, internationally certified in the Dialogue for Peace methodology. (This is just one of the summer's workshops — the themes change every week.)
Participation is free and places are limited. Sign up via this form. For participants from outside Bucharest we can provide accommodation — fill in the accommodation form. Alongside the workshop, we prepare urban exploration and social activities.
This project is made possible with the financial support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with World Scouting, through the Messengers of Peace Fund.
